Club Event 15th August 2010
On Sunday 15th August the club was invited to visit a site near to Westbury, Wilts.
27 members attended and the first picture below shows the briefing.

The weather was perfect, and the land we were allowed to detect on was over 100 acres covered in stubble.
You can see a few members in the distance in a large field where a lot of bronze pieces were found.

There were some good finds made during the day, that included several nice Roman coins: buckles, a hammered silver coin and a lovely small silvery broach.
The find of the day went to Ian Carter who found the brooch.
There was a raffle and then a great buffet with a fine selection of food that was quickly tucked into.
